This project was completed in collaboration with one other student on a two-week timeline. My role in this project included space planning, 3D modelling, and material selection.

Bird nests are created to protect, nourish, and allow birds to grow safely while still being in an open space. The concept of The Nest follows that by allowing students to choose their experience and find a way for them to rejuvenate and relax. The space provides multiple different experiences with varying degrees of privacy as people have different ways to relax and reset. The space features a light and breathable design that encourages students to step back from technology and the demands of school and take a breath. The lightness is balanced with spaces focused on providing a sense of privacy and a home-like feeling for students to feel connected when missing home.
